1) You would think this was common sense, but it can be forgotten! Sparklers need to be lighted. It's also great to have a chalkboard or whiteboard set beside them, explaining what time the send-off starts and welcoming guests to grab a few. 4) What everyone forgets is disposing the sparklers properly. It's hard to remember such a minor detail after a beautiful twinkling send-off, but the used sparklers and the unused sparklers should be gathered somewhere safe. It's best to use buckets of sand or water and place a sign that asks guests to dispose them here rather than leaving them on the ground.
