Sparklers in Commercial Photography

I love to show you pictures of our sparklers in action at weddings and other special events, but today I thought I would share a different photo.  This is a commercial photo shot by Andrew Watson of Swinglight Photography based in San Antonio, TX.  He is also the talented photographer behind the camera for all of the products you see on our website at BuySparklers.com!

Andrew set up this product picture as part of a bid for a larger job a few years back.  He just happened to purchase the sparklers from BuySparklers.com.  Then last year, when we were looking for a commercial photographer, a friend referred us to him.  He remembered working with the sparklers and we were excited to have the previous connection!

You can find Andrew online and see more of his fantastic images at http://www.swinglight.com/.

New York to Legalize Sparklers

The New York State Legislature passed a bill recently that legalizes the sell of sparklers and other novelty related items.  Next year New Yorkers will be able to purchase sparklers without crossing the state line.

Although it wasn't a unanimous decision, some members voted against it because of the safety issue with children.  I encourage parents to buy wire based sparklers since they are smokeless and will not ash off.  The bamboo sparklers ash off quickly and they can cause serious burns.  It is also a good idea to have a bucket of water or sand ready to dispose of the used sparklers since the wire will be VERY hot.

This is exciting news and starting 2012 New Yorkers will be able to safely and legally demonstrate their patriotism as well as have sparklers at any celebration during the year.
