Dreaming of a Spring Wedding?

There are SO many exciting themes surrounding this time of year, especially since it is starting to warm up and the beautiful flowers are blooming!

What I especially love about Spring are the butterflies that start flying around gardens and parks this time of year.  You always know spring has arrived when you start seeing all the Monarch's outside.  As I was looking at the new Spring colors for 2012 weddings, I ran across a website that a had bride posted information about her butterfly themed wedding.  She had everything from her invitations to decorations all in butterflies.   I thought how fresh her idea was and she took advantage of every opportunity to have butterlflies somewhere in every part of her wedding.  She had her florist put butterfly picks in her bouquet and added a small butterfly to the groom's boutonniere too.

I imagined her outdoor wedding with big beautiful butterflies on the edge of the chairs and all entwined in the archway and even hanging from the trees. She found a fabulous bakery that made beautiful butterflies to put on her wedding cake too.  And yes, she did do a butterfly release after they said "I DO".  And to make their night completely unforgettable, they used sparklers as they made their grand exit as husband and wife.  She referred to the sparkles as "fireflies" that encircled them as they left the reception.

I can only imagine how unique and beautiful her Butterfly Themed Spring Wedding was.  I can't think of a more suitable theme for an outdoor spring wedding!!

Ever After Images

It always makes me smile to receive pictures from weddings that used sparklers for the grand exit.  Debra Malkiewicz, from Ever After Images in Austin, sent in some incredible photos that she and her husband have taken from recent weddings.  There were so many to chose from, but I am going to share my 3 favorite photos.

This photo was one of my favorites!  I really like how happy the bride and groom are and how the guests have turned and extended the sparklers toward them.

This next picture was so beautiful with the main focus on the sparklers!  I really like the vantage point from where it was shot from.  The sparklers look so amazing and really add that sense of warmth to the event.

This last picture was too cute not to share!  I love how the bride and her bridesmaids had fun with the sparklers and wrote her name in the the air!
