Sparkler Essentials

Known for contributing to a photogenic and memorable send-off, sparklers are a given at weddings. However, there are some essential things that must be remembered when using sparklers for weddings.

1) You would think this was common sense, but it can be forgotten! Sparklers need to be lighted. Rather than giving your guests plain lighters, try personalized lighters with the bride and grooms name or a cute saying. It makes for a great party favor for guests to take home, as well as a perfect way for guests to light their sparklers.

2) Giving your wedding guests sparklers should be done in the proper way. If they are not told when the sparklers are supposed to  be lit, there could be a disaster. It's helpful to have labeled sparkler sleeves. They're another way to personalize sparklers for your wedding and they can be bought at handmade online stores like etsy.

3) The send-off sparklers should also be placed in presentable holders. I like the idea of having them in cute cases or buckets and filling them up with confetti or sand. It's also great to have a chalkboard or whiteboard set beside them, explaining what time the send-off starts and welcoming guests to grab a few. 4) What everyone forgets is disposing the sparklers properly. It's hard to remember such a minor detail after a beautiful twinkling send-off, but the used sparklers and the unused sparklers should be gathered somewhere safe. It's best to use buckets of sand or water and place a sign that asks guests to dispose them here rather than leaving them on the ground.
