I received a phone call from Peg in California who wanted to share her family's Christmas tradition with me. It was too good not to pass on!
They have a large family and the adults still like to receive a Christmas stocking like the kids do. To make that happen, all the adults buy an item for $5.00 or less and put that item in all of the Christmas stockings so that each one is identical. Every year people buy little trinkets, or crazy socks, or nail polish, but Peg buys our #14 Gold Party Sparklers and puts 1 box in each stocking. She said the first year she did this, the sparklers were a HUGE hit! The gifts are anonymous and no one knows who put what in each stocking, but she said they all requested sparklers again for the following Christmas.
Peg said that not everyone would wear the crazy socks and the men certainly were not going to use the nail polish, but they all had a blast using the sparklers at New Year's!
