"My greatest tip for sparkler shots
is how to light the sparkler. Most of us, including me, would think
that the using a lighter to light the sparklers would be something I
won't have to be concerned about. Not true. The first lighter I bought
was a regular Bic type lighter. Then I tried one of those long
lighters used for BBQ's. They are horrible. The only kind of lighter
that works in all situations is a torch light. This is usually found in
cigar shops. They are butane lighters but have a "strong" blue flame
that you can not only see but "hear" like a blow torch. The flame will
not be blown out during windy conditions." - Frank Donnino
